About the Role We are seeking an experienced and strategic Manager
of Research Tax Credit (RTC) to lead complex R&D tax credit
studies, mentor junior team members, and contribute to operational
excellence. Reporting to the Director, you will serve as a subject
matter expert across a diverse range of clients and industries,
manage key client relationships, and support leadership in driving
department initiatives. This is a high-impact, client-facing role
requiring exceptional project management, technical tax knowledge,
and leadership capabilities. Responsibilities (A Day in the Life) ·
Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) for R&D tax credit
studies across multiple industries and clients. • Independently
manage a portfolio of client projects, ensuring scope, budget, and
timeline adherence. • Provide mentorship and training to Associates
and Senior Associates in collaboration with senior leadership. •
Ensure quality and consistency of RTC study processes and
deliverables. • Track and log all activities in Salesforce CRM on a
daily (preferred) or weekly basis. • Partner with technical and
financial professionals including engineers, CPAs, attorneys, and
MBAs to conduct in-depth analyses. • Lead or assist in the analysis
of complex technical and financial data for R&D credit
qualification. • Author and review comprehensive technical
documentation to support tax claims. • Educate clients on SR&ED
regulations and industry best practices. • Support departmental
initiatives focused on improving efficiency, standardization, and
knowledge sharing. • Finalize cost analyses and ensure compliance
with SR&ED requirements across provinces. • Prepare and review
the T661 tax form and other supporting documents. • Liaise with CRA
and clients to monitor and manage claim progress. • Lead the
invoicing and billing process for assigned projects. Basic
Qualifications • Minimum of 1 years of experience with R&D Tax
Credits and government tax incentive programs. • Bachelor’s degree
in accounting, business, economics, or a related field from an
accredited institution. • Demonstrated expertise in R&D tax
credit processes, client engagement, and technical documentation. •
Strong command of tax law, regulatory requirements, and industry
developments. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong project management skills with a track record of
delivering complex engagements. • Ability to travel up to 25% as
needed. Preferred Qualifications • Experience using Salesforce CRM
or similar platforms. • Advanced degree such as MBA, JD, or LLM is
highly preferred. • Proven experience mentoring and developing
