AGR is looking for Riggers & Deck Foreman for ongoing projects
in the GoM Job Title: Rigger & Deck Foreman Location: Offshore -
Gulf of Mexico / U.S. Waters Job Summary: The Rigger & Deck Foreman
is responsible for leading and supervising deck crew activities
related to lifting, rigging, and load-handling operations on
offshore platforms, vessels, or construction barges. The role
ensures that all deck operations are performed safely, efficiently,
and in accordance with project specifications and regulatory
standards. Key Responsibilities: Supervise and coordinate all
rigging and lifting activities on deck. Ensure proper rigging of
loads using slings, shackles, spreader bars, and lifting equipment.
Direct deck crew during equipment transfers, load-outs, and
construction support activities. Inspect rigging gear and lifting
equipment regularly for wear, damage, or defects. Communicate
clearly with crane operators, vessel crew, and other offshore
teams. Enforce safety protocols, permit-to-work systems, and
toolbox talks. Maintain deck organization, securing equipment and
materials properly. Complete daily job reports, timesheets, and
safety documentation. Requirements: Proven offshore experience in
rigging and deck operations within the oil & gas industry (Gulf of
Mexico preferred). Qualified Rigger APIRP2D Strong leadership and
communication skills to supervise multicultural crews. Knowledge of
safe lifting practices, load calculations, and signalman duties.
Familiarity with cranes, winches, lifting plans, and deck layouts.
Valid offshore certifications (TWIC, HUET/BOSIET, Safe Gulf,
offshore medical, etc.). Ability to work in physically demanding
offshore environments for extended periods.
