AGR is looking for experienced Lay Supervisors & Technicians for ongoing offshore projects in the GoM. Location: Offshore / Onshore (as required) Department: Subsea Installation Reports To: Offshore Construction Manager / Project Engineer Job Summary: The Lay Supervisor/Technician is responsible for supervising and operating pipeline and umbilical laying equipment, with a focus on tensioners and reel drive systems. The role includes ensuring safe and efficient deck operations during installation campaigns, maintaining equipment readiness, and coordinating with the offshore team to meet project goals. Key Responsibilities: Operate and supervise the use of tensioners and reel drive systems during subsea product installation. Monitor line tension, speed, and reel functions to ensure smooth laying operations. Coordinate deck crew activities during mobilization, demobilization, and active lay operations. Conduct regular checks, basic maintenance, and troubleshooting of lay equipment. Maintain operational records, including tensioner logs, layback data, and equipment status reports. Ensure all operations follow safety and project-specific procedures. Collaborate with engineers, ROV teams, and vessel crew to support efficient offshore execution. Support training and guidance of junior technicians as needed. Requirements: Proven experience operating tensioners and reel drive systems in subsea lay operations. Technical background in Mechanical, Electrical, or Subsea Engineering (or relevant field experience). Strong understanding of offshore installation procedures and equipment safety. Valid offshore certifications (BOSIET, HUET, medical, etc.). Ability to work in a team and under pressure in offshore environments. Strong safety mindset and attention to detail.
