Job Description:

Clean Harbors, a pioneer in North Americas environmental, energy, and industrial service sectors, is seeking a Lead Project LDAR (Leak Detection and Repair) Technician. This role is pivotal in leading efforts to manage and execute LDAR programs, ensuring compliance with environmental regulations and promoting sustainability initiatives. In this position, you will manage a team of technicians, coordinate with project managers, and maintain high standards of safety and accuracy in detecting and repairing leaks of volatile organic compounds and other hazardous substances. Oversee daily operations of LDAR projects and ensure they align with both client and environmental regulatory requirements. Supervise and train LDAR technicians, ensuring they are competent and adhere to safety protocols. Conduct regular field audits and quality control assessments to verify compliance with environmental laws and policies. Compile and submit accurate compliance reports to management and regulatory bodies. Maintain inventory and ensure proper calibration and maintenance of all monitoring and testing equipment. Collaborate with environmental scientists, engineers, and other stakeholders to develop and improve leak detection methods and technologies. Coordinate with project managers to plan and schedule projects and ensure resource availability. Implement corrective measures for any project discrepancies, and continuously seek process improvements. Proficient in using LDAR software and database tools Excellent organizational and leadership skills Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Ability to work in various outdoor environments and adverse weather conditions Strong communication and report-writing skills Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH), preferred but not mandatory 40-hour HAZWOPER training Relevant state or federal environmental compliance certifications
