Job Description Job Description Job Title: Manufacturing Engineer Job Description We are seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to oversee the end-to-end optimization of production processes, from new product introduction (NPI) through to stable, efficient, and cost-effective mass production. You will work closely with Design Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, and Operations to enhance throughput, reduce costs and waste, and improve first-pass yield, all while ensuring safety and compliance. Responsibilities Drive the optimization of production processes from NPI through mass production. Collaborate with Design Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, and Operations teams. Enhance production throughput, reduce costs and waste. Improve first-pass yield while ensuring safety and compliance. Lead and implement Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives. Conduct process improvement and process engineering projects. Utilize value stream mapping, scheduling, and project management to optimize flow lines. Essential Skills 5 years of experience as a Manufacturing Engineer. Experience in a manufacturing setting. Proficiency in Lean Manufacturing. Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing Engineering or related field. Additional Skills & Qualifications Master’s degree preferred. Proficiency with CAD (SolidWorks/Inventor/AutoCAD) and PLM/ERP systems. Strong statistical analysis capability (SPC, DOE, capability indices). Familiarity with PFMEA, Control Plans, APQP/PPAP. Hands-on experience with tooling/fixturing and equipment validation. Lean, Six Sigma (Green Belt or higher is a plus), 5S, Kaizen, VSM, SMED. Excellent problem-solving, documentation, and cross-functional communication skills. Work Environment The candidate will split their time equally between the shop floor and an office environment. The role requires a blend of hands-on shop floor leadership and office-based strategic planning. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Katy, TX. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $55.00 - $60.00/hr.
