Receiver/Exciter & Processing Architecture (REPA) Department is the
focal point for receiver, exciter, beam steering, and signal
processing technology within Raytheon. The department is
responsible for the design, development, integration, and support
to production builds, and lifecycle support of Raytheon products.
This position is for a multi-disciplined Principal Hardware Design
& Test Engineer. Principal Hardware Design and Test Engineers are
total product owners responsible for the design, analysis, and
hands on integration and test of RF components, circuits, and
Receiver Exciter subsystems in both a design and production
environment. The successful candidate will be detail-oriented,
possess strong analytical skills, and have a passion for continuous

love to hear from you. What You Will Do Lead the technical
investigation and resolution of design, build, and test issued
identified on Receiver Exciter subsystems, CCAs, and components.
RF/Microwave circuit and sub-system design, modeling, simulation,
and verification. Integration and test at component, CCA, and
subsystem levels. Transition to production and technical support to
manufacturing and test engineers. Lead small project or processes
improvements within area of responsibility. Lead circuit card and
subassembly design updates to resolve obsolescence and
producibility issues. This role is 100% on-site and will be based
in Tewksbury, MA or Marlborough, MA. Travel is to be anticipated
between multiple sites including Andover, MA and Woburn, MA.
Qualifications You Must Have Typically requires a degree in
Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a
minimum 8 years’ of prior work experience OR an Advanced degree and
minimum 5 years’ of prior work experience. Experience with
Microwave / RF system, subsystem and/or component analysis, design
and test. Experience leading analysis / Root-Cause Corrective
Action (RCCA) investigations; Preferably with supplier and factory
issues. The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued
Secret security clearance post-start is required. U.S. citizenship
is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security
clearance. Qualifications We Prefer Experience with testing and
troubleshooting RF and Microwave component/subsystem such as
up-converters, down converters, power amplifiers, waveform
generators, RF modulators, and limiters. Background in designing
for manufacturability, producibility, and cost constraints, which
includes yield and margin analysis. Technical writing and formal
presentation experience. Experience leading and growing a
multi-discipline engineering team. Experience working in both
engineering design and production environments. Experience with any
of the following tools: Mentor Graphics Designer, PSPICE, System
Vision, MATLAB, Mathcad, IDL, Computer Simulation Technologies
(CST), Microwave Design Studio, High Frequency Structure Simulator
(HFSS) and Advanced Design System (ADS). Technical background in
any of the following areas: Cascade analysis and/or frequency
planning Filter design and fabrication Circuit card assembly and
fabrication High speed data converter test / characterization Low

role is 107,500 USD - 204,500 USD. The salary range provided is a
