Summary: The Contracts Administration Manager reports to and takes direction from the President & CEO. The primary responsibility of the Contracts Administration Manager is to oversee the contracts administration work for several projects. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Ensures the contract functions are completed to obtain accuracy and timeliness in all aspects of the area
  • Assures processes are in place to create, execute and close out contracts efficiently and effectively
  • Manages the c/subcontractor Request for Information (RFI), inclusive of the dissemination of information
  • Negotiates contractual terms and conditions with c/subcontractors ensuring the prime terms and conditions are carried through to all sub-assignments
  • Reviews T&C forms (contract, change order, amendment) to ensure compliance is maintained
  • Creates c/subcontract agreements and purchase orders as required
  • Manages c/subcontract changes
  • Monitors and manages the C/Subcontractor relationship and performance in collaboration with key stakeholders, management and employees
  • Conducts Audits to ensure process is being maintained for the function
  • Develops Scopes of Work for Subcontractors
  • Prepares and presents documents for tenders
  • Negotiates with trades & suppliers
  • Reviews quotes based on total cost of ownership
  • Awards and prepares contracts
  • Tracks work quality, ensures safe work conditions and ensures contractors get paid on time
  • Interfaces with client dispute resolution
  • Administrates reviews per construction summaries, sales reports, and rebate programs
  • Monitors the requirements for contract closeout to achieve formal project acceptance
  • Prepares risk registers and facilitate risk awareness with the project teams
  • Develops and designs claims as necessary
  • Liaises with corporate legal as required to act as the point person for legal issues on behalf of the project teamQualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.     • Minimum of 5 years of experience directly related contracts administration experience in industrial construction business .
    • Post-secondary degree in Business Administration, Business Law or an equivalent field
    • Extensive practical and working knowledge of contract practices and regulations
