Project Director Title V Grant - Central CampusFUNCTION: The Project Director will lead SJC's Title V Grant - Positioning for the Future with Equity-focused Strategies with the overall goals of enhancing an equity-focused campus culture through increased student programming and faculty and staff professional development, strengthening workforce-related efforts for students, and improving and increasing financial support resources for students. The project director will oversee all aspects of the grant including collaboration with the grant project team to ensure timely completion of grant deliverables, budgeting, and grant reporting.Essential Job Functions:Provide leadership to the Title V Grant - Positioning for the Future with Equity-focused strategies through collaboration with various departments involved in meeting the grant objectives and goals.Coordinate and manage day to day tasks necessary to successfully meet project objectivesDevelop, implement, and manage internal project processes including reporting to ensure compliance with institutional policies, as well as Title V and US Department of Education rules and regulations. Analyze and prepare end of quarter, end of activity reports.Administer project budget according to the US Department of Education federal grant guidelines, as well as SJC policies and procedures. Maintain and monitor budgets and ordering of equipment of all project partners of which there are more than five and for which the total budget is more than $500,000 per year. Prepare monthly financial billing and interim ad hoc reports both internal and external pending specific funding agent.Create as necessary and oversee activities, such as monthly meetings of all partners, to ensure project timelines are set and achievedCollect data and assess project progress, outcomes, and success through collaboration with the external grant evaluator and the research office to ensure grant deliverables and reports are submitted in a timely fashion.Monitor reporting of partners and ensure compliance with scope of grant requirements.Coordinate development and dissemination of grant related materials, project information, products, servicesCreate as necessary and oversee activities, such as monthly meetings of all partners, to ensure project timelines are set and achievedWork with Office of Grants Management to ensure financial compliance, budget monitoring, and audits.Additional Job Functions:Establish effective communication regarding the project to the campus community.Interact directly with US Department of Education and develop and maintain key relationships with college staff and community resources.Work with external entities to develop sound collegial relationships to fulfill grant requirements.Other grant implementation duties as assigned.Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:Sound working knowledge of computing systems and softwareTeam player/leader; cooperative orientationHigh priority on customer serviceProject management, fiscal and narrative grant reporting; ability to conceptualizeAbility to read, analyze, and interpret data.Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions for reporting purposes.Ability to build and maintain relationships and partnerships.Exceptional time management skills and ability to meet deadlines.Excellent interpersonal skills.Exceptional written and oral communication skills.Efficient, detail oriented, self-starter that can work with minimal supervision.Required Education:Bachelor's degree in education, training, management, public administration, project management, IT management, workforce education or project-related fieldPreferred Education:Master's degreeRequired Experience:Four years experience in each of the following:1) successful grant management/administration and2) budgeting/fiscal managementPreferred Experience:Knowledge of state, federal and /or local funding guidelines and College procedures and policies; experience with educational and/or training programs in field of specific grant; successful grant writing and fund acquisitions.Grant-funded positions are contingent on the continuation and the availability of grant funds.Note: This position has limited opportunity for remote work arrangements with appropriate approvals and in accordance with the policies, procedures, and needs of the College.Salary Grade: 26Salary is based on the Board-approved salary schedule for the current fiscal year.
