Job Description Responds to emergency and non-emergency calls as assigned during shifts. Follows all departmental, local, and state driving laws, policies, and procedures. Communicate verbally to dispatchers, EMS crews, first responders and other organizations according to departmental policies and procedures. Ensure vehicles and equipment are in working conditions are ready for use before the start of the shift. Complete daily vehicle and supply checklists and assists with vehicle re-supply, vehicle and equipment decontamination, and general readiness-related tasks. Report missing supplies or issues with vehicles to the shift supervisor immediately so it can be addressed before for the start of the shift. Upon completion of transport, responsible for all assigned duties which will place the ambulance and equipment back in service. Responsible for full knowledge of the ambulances basic life support equipment and its proper use at all times. Documents and reports all needed repairs to the proper to supervisors and other ambulance personnel as required. Follow company medical protocol when providing patient care. Competency in clinical care of the patient care is a must. Provides careful handling of the patient to and from the ambulance. Provides safe and efficient transport of the patient in the ambulance to the medical facility. Provides satisfactory customer service and projects professionalism in all contacts. Entrust to accurately complete patient care reports, billing information, and other relevant information to submit a complete report in a timely manner.
