HCA Houston Healthcare Southeast - Pasadena, TX Nurse Manager (RN) - Rehab HCA Houston Healthcare Southeast has been serving the needs of Southeast Harris County for 55 years. It offers 364 licensed beds, a NICU, an Advanced Wound Care Center, and a full complement of hospital services. HCA Houston Healthcare Southeast is affiliated with HCA Houston Healthcare, part of the HCA Healthcare Gulf Coast Division. The division is a comprehensive network of hospitals, outpatient surgery centers, emergency centers and diagnostic imaging facilities in greater Houston, Corpus Christi and South Texas. Facilities include: 17 hospitals, nine ambulatory care centers, 13 off-campus emergency centers, and a regional transfer center. What you will do in this role: --- Under the general supervision of the Director, the Nurse Manager assumes 24-hour responsibility for all functions of the unit. --- In collaboration with the Nurse Director and members of the Medical Staff, this individual is responsible for the ongoing assessment of the quality of patient care services provided in the Unit by all levels of practitioners. --- Initiates, guides, and directs the coordination of all Unit functions. --- Functions as a resource person for staff members and assists in necessary education of individual members of the nursing staff. --- Assumes responsibility for the overall quality of nursing care provided by the unit. --- Makes decisions regarding activities within these areas based on Hospital Administrative Standards, Human Resource Standards, Department of Nursing Standards, , collaborating with the Director in unusual situations. Qualifications Education: --- Bachelor of Science in Nursing is required. What qualifications you will need: --- Current licensure in Texas as a Registered Nurse. --- Minimum of three (3) years of clinical practice in provision of clinical nursing in Rehab setting is required with emphasis on leadership and management experience. --- BLS certification is required.
