    The registered nurse provides nursing care to patients in an assigned clinical area and leadership on the unit, under the supervision of a Nurse Supervisor, or RN Coordinator.-- The RN applies clinical nursing knowledge and utilizes demonstrated skills to ensure the safety and comfort of patients and families according to legal, organizational and professional standards.-- The RN utilizes critical thinking to identify priorities and make judgments concerning basic and comprehensive needs of multiple patients in order facilitate appropriate and timely care. --

    Salary Range: $72,009.60 - $88,961.60 (Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc.)

    Required: Graduate from an approved professional registered nursing program.
    Preferred: BSN

    Experience
    Required: 6 months in a clinical area. May consider a new grad if hiring department can provide direct supervision for 6 months, and agrees to participate in a new grad preceptoring program. Preferred: Two years of ambulatory care

    Required:Current and valid Texas RN license.Current BLS issued by the American Heart Association.

    Preferred: Specialty nursing certification in ambulatory care or one appropriate to the specialty area assigned. ALS/PALS issued by AHA.

    Required: Able to use equipment and related supplies for selected patient population for the assigned clinical area. Including CPR, oxygen administration, and intravenous therapy. Computer experience.
