RESPONSIBILITY1.Prepares patients for advanced imaging procedures,
is able to assist the Radiologist in the consent process and
monitors the patient for the length of the procedure.2.Ensures safe
care to patients, adhering to policies, procedures, and
standards.3.Demonstrates ability to accurately provide medication
administration to patients undergoing moderate sedation within the
Imaging Department.4.Is able to handle high volume, high stress
situations.5.Has exceptional critical thinking skills and problem
solving abilities.6.Promotes individual professional growth and
development by meeting requirements for mandatory/continuing
education.7.Upholds the highest standards of customer service at
all times ("customer" includes patients, family members,
co-workers, referring physicians, etc.).8.Actively works to
establish PI activities within the Imaging Department.9.Possesses
knowledge of medical terminology sufficient to work accurately
within the Imaging Department.10.Performs and documents patient
assessments before, during and after procedures involving moderate
sedation.11.Ensures compliance of regulatory agency requirements
(TJC, TDH, etc) including staff licensing.12.Serves as a mentor and
resource to less experienced staff/students.13.Completes other
tasks and activities as assigned.--KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLSMust have
exceptional communication and patient care skills, as well as
strong interpersonal skills and problem solving ability.EDUCATION
AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS1.Graduation from an accredited school
of nursing required2.Previous clinical nursing experience in
Imaging, ICU or ED setting is preferred.LICENSURE AND/OR
CERTIFICATION REQUIRED1.Current licensure in Texas as a Registered
Nurse2.Current verification of competency in Cardiopulmonary
