Job Title: Certified Surgical Tech Location: Beaumont, TX Assignment Details: Start Date: July 21, 2025 Contract Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Monday - Friday: 7AM to 3PM Weekly Hours: 40 hours/week Schedule: Mon–Fri with possible weekend rotation Responsibilities: The Certified Surgical Technologist plays a vital role in supporting surgical teams by preparing and caring for pre-operative patients. Responsibilities include maintaining strict aseptic techniques, preparing the operating room, and positioning patients based on the surgical procedure. The role also involves skin preparation, transporting patients, ensuring patient comfort and privacy, and handling biological specimens in compliance with hospital protocols. Key Responsibilities: Deliver direct and assistive patient care in the Operating Room under the supervision of a registered nurse. Proficiently scrub in at least three surgical specialty areas, such as Transplants, Open Heart, Urology, Neurology, Titanium Rib, or Robotics (highly preferred). Establish and maintain a sterile field throughout surgical procedures. Pass instruments, sponges, and sutures to the physician and assist as needed during surgery. Utilize physician preference cards to prepare surgical cases and set up the OR accordingly. Ensure preference cards are accurate, up-to-date, and complete. Actively contribute as a team member to support patient care before, during, and after procedures. Collaborate with the surgical team for efficient planning and execution of procedures. Maintain a safe, sterile environment by strictly adhering to aseptic techniques and infection control standards. Demonstrate the OneCHRISTUS Competencies, focusing on self-leadership and teamwork.
