ACLS, BLS, NIH Must-Have: 1 year ICU experience ACLS/BLS/NIH
Description: The unit has 26 beds and is staffed by 45 personnel.
Day shift includes 1 Charge Nurse, 1 rapid response RN, and 5 RNs
for 10 ICU patients, with additional staffing as needed. Night
shift includes 1 Charge Nurse, 1 rapid response RN, and 5 RNs,
along with 1 Patient Care Technician for 10 ICU patients, with
additional staffing as needed. The patient ratios are 1:2 or 1:1
based on the condition of the patients. Typical equipment includes
mechanical ventilators, balloon pumps, CRRTs, Impella, and EKOS.
The electronic medical record system used is Meditech. The
preferred candidates will have experience with CRRT, Impella, or
balloon pumps. Common procedures performed include bedside
tracheostomy and PEG tube insertions, as well as central line
insertions. Ideal candidates are team players who work well with
others. This position requires weekend coverage, working every
other weekend.
