Travel Pride Health is hiring for a Medical Laboratory Technologist
to support our client’s medical facility based in Houston, TX
77030. This is a great opportunity to join a top-tier healthcare
organization, supporting the Blood Bank department. Job
Duties/Responsibilities: - Determine the acceptability of specimens
for testing based on established criteria. - Perform routine and
complex technical procedures according to department SOPs. -
Monitor, operate, and troubleshoot laboratory instruments to ensure
proper functionality. - Make technical decisions regarding testing
and problem-solving as needed. - Prepare, test, and evaluate new
reagents or controls. - Report accurate and timely test results to
ensure quality patient care. - Perform preventive maintenance and
quality control procedures. - Maintain testing bench supplies and
assist with specimen processing when required. - Ensure a safe work
environment and follow PPE requirements. Requirements: - Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Chemistry, Clinical Laboratory
Science, or Medical Technology. - MLT Associates degree accepted. -
ASCP certification preferred but not required. - Experience: -
Minimum of 2-4 years of clinical laboratory testing experience. -
Blood Bank experience required. - State Medical Technologist
license may be required (as per local regulations). - Skills: -
Proficiency in laboratory procedures and instrument
troubleshooting. - Ability to work independently and as part of a
team. - High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Familiarity with lab information systems is a plus. Additional
