Job Description We are searching for a Clinical Nurse
Coordinator - Bone Marrow Transplant someone who works well in a
fast-paced setting. In this position, you will manage daily
clinical and personnel activities for the Department. Participates
and coordinates the delivery of high quality, family centered and
developmentally appropriate patient care. Collaborates with
ancillary departments to ensure timely and appropriate care. Think
you've got what it takes? Job Duties & Responsibilities -
Responsible and accountable for the daily care coordination of
patients within area of clinical subspecialty. Utilizes
evidence-based nursing interventions during clinical visits,
telephone encounters, and electronic communications according to
state regulations, regulatory agency standards, and organizational
policies and procedures. - Determines which standards of care and
practice apply to the patient; coordinates and communicates this
information to other health care team members, in order to meet
patient needs. - Coordinates visits with physicians, ensures
appropriate consultations in hospital by working with the
coordinators. - Coordinates visits with diagnostic imaging
department and appropriate sub-specialists. - Coordinates initial
education of patients by phone. - Assists intake coordinator with
initial appointment. - Assists with pre-approval of procedures
through conversations with insurance verifiers and case managers if
necessary. - Ensures appropriate patients are presented at weekly
multi-disciplinary case conference for care plan design and care
coordination. - Provides follow-up to referring physicians through
written documentation based on recommendations for clinical
management discussed at the weekly multidisciplinary conference. -
Uses appropriate evidence-based assessment, complex interviewing
techniques and instruments related to ambulatory care nursing in
collecting pertinent patient, family, or population specific data.
- Coordinates communication among the coordinators and other staff.
- Helps coordinate new and ongoing clinical research studies
including IRB enrollment and data collection by working with the
research department and Quality and Outcomes. - Provides education
concerning various aspects of care. - Coordinates nursing care of
patients across various departments and subspecialty services by
demonstrating commitment to team, flexibility, professional
interpersonal, communication, critical thinking, and customer
service skills. - Collects and maintains data on patient referrals
and consults and effectively manages program. - Collaborates with
other members of the team and other key stakeholders. - Ensures
staffing needs are met. As part of our commitment to maintaining a

required to undergo respiratory fit testing in compliance with
occupational health and safety standards. Skills & Requirements -
Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or Associate's Degree in nursing with
acceptance or current enrollment in a BSN program and signed
agreement or an associate's degree in a related field accepted by
the Texas Board of Nursing for the purposes of obtaining and
maintaining an RN license or Technical diploma in nursing with
acceptance or current enrollment in a BSN program and signed
agreement or must be currently enrolled in a nursing bridge program
working toward an MSN. Verified BSN-equivalency or a signed
agreement is required - 2 years' nursing experience - RN
-License-Registered Nurses & BLS -Cert-Basic Life Support required
