Encompass Health Corporation, a leader in post-acute care services, is seeking a dedicated Speech Pathologist to join our multidisciplinary team. In this role, you'll provide expert therapy to patients with a variety of speech, language, swallowing, cognitive-communication, and voice disorders. Through our expansive network of inpatient rehabilitation hospitals and home health services, you'll deliver care both facility-based and in-home settings, focusing on functional, patient-centered therapy with the goal of enhancing quality of life. Evaluate patient speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing abilities. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and goals. Provide therapy in both facility-based and home-based settings, adapting to each environment. Educate family members and caregivers on patient communication strategies and techniques. Maintain accurate records and reports on patient evaluation results and treatment progress. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure cohesiveness and effectiveness of overall treatment. Expert knowledge in speech pathology practices and principles. Ability to conduct and interpret standardized speech pathology assessments. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, capable of educating patients, families, and team members. Skill in using therapeutic technology and equipment pertinent to speech pathology. Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
