Shift Information: Nights - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 12
Weeks Start Date: 2/9/2026 About the Position TravelNurseSource is
working with Mindlance Health to find a qualified NICU RN in
College Station, Texas, 77840! ID: 75539684 Shift: 12H Nights 12hr
Nights, EOW, First to Float (may be asked to work a day shift on
occasion) Description: Unit Sol profile reviews, unit will conduct
a 2nd interviewCandidates may not have been directly employed (full
time, part time, or PRN) by any facility associated with
CommonSpirit, including CHI and/or Dignity within the past year.
Candidates who were employed PRN through outside firms will be
considered.Special Information: Call outs are strongly discouraged
and could lead to terminationCandidate should have a minimum of 2
full years experienceUnit NICUIMPORTANT: We do couplet care, but
our NICU nurses attend deliveries and complete those admissions.
There is an expectation to help with newborns on Mother Baby if
needed (either assisting with lab work, infants on
observation/transition, or taking a newborn assignment. Level of
NICU III Beds 13 private Ratios We follow AWHONN staffing
guidelines. Most assignments will be 1:2, with an occasional 1:1.
Feeder grower infants will go to 1:3.Required Certifications: BLS,
NRP-advanced, STABLE *These need to be up to date before coming
onsite. Common diagnoses/Types of patients: PPHN, prematurity
(25-34 weeks), Hypoglycemia, a lot of respiratory support (cardiac
and surgical cases are transferred out) Partner with Texas
Childrens- may do phone consult and determine if they can maintain
baby hereExperience or 'Must have' skills Minimum of 2 years of
Level III or IV NICU experience. Must be proficient with the
following: NC, HFNC, BCPAP, vents, chest tubes, UVC, UAC, ELBW
infants.Delivery experience highly preferredAre RNs required to
titrate drips? noCommon titratable &/or set rate drips
n/aCharge Nurse/House Supervisor? Does the charge nurse take an
assignment? Charge nurse available but always takes an
assignmentAre there nurse aids on this unit/Ratios noNeonatologist
in house 24/7? Neonatology provider in house 24/7RT Equipment
(vents, Cpap, BiPap, etc) bubble cpap, high flow NC, vents, NIPPVIs
there tele on this unit? Monitor Techs? RNs read strips? noShifts &
Scheduling (Do you allow self-scheduling? Block scheduling?) 12
hoursSelf-scheduling but not finalized until balanced by
managerSchedule done 6 weeks at a timeworks with schedule

Requirements Rotating with core staffIs there call or a standby
requirement? NoFloating Requirements May flex to Resource nurse to
provide assistance to Mother Baby staff- assist with circumcisions,
draw labs, complete CCHD, car seat studies, assist with deliveries
and admissions. If needed may take a neonatal assignment of up to 6
infants.Scrub Color/Dress Code Navy - undershirts must be navy.
Scrub jackets are optional, must be navy. Cancellation can cancel
up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment, 3 shifts for assignments
that are less than 13 weeks Charting BSN License to Trauma Level:3
Care Shift Nights, EOW, First to Float (may be asked to work a day
shift on occasion) Required Certification, NRP, Stable Guaranteed
