the Position TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find
a qualified Dialysis RN in Bryan, Texas, 77802! Job Title:
Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Dialysis Duration: 12
weeks Shift: 12-Hour Days Rotating Hours per Shift: 36 hours per
week Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Required Certifications:
BLS, ACLS, NIHSS Must-Have: - General acute care dialysis nursing
competencies - AVF/AVG cannulation - CVC access - Recognition and
management of hemodialysis complications and emergencies -
Peritoneal dialysis site care and catheter care - Peritoneal
dialysis initiation and termination Description: Candidates may not
have been directly employed by any associated facility within the
past year. Candidates who were employed through outside firms will
be considered. Call-outs are strongly discouraged and may lead to
termination. May be asked to precept as needed. First to float
between campuses as needed. The unit has a nurse-to-patient ratio
of 2:1 and 1:1 for treatments. Required skills include managing
hemodialysis in both acute and ICU environments. Patients include
those with end-stage renal disease and acute renal failure. In the
acute suite, patients are monitored by a tech who reads strips. In
the ICU, patients are on bedside and central monitoring. Charge
nurses may take assignments. There are nurse aids on this unit. The
unit uses ventilators, Hi-Flow, CPAP, and BiPap equipment only in
ICU settings. Shifts are rotating with responsibilities for every
other Saturday and holiday rotation. On-call requirement is one
night per week and every other Sunday. Floating is required between
campuses as needed. Navy blue scrubs are the dress code. The
unit-specific orientation includes paperwork and on-unit training.
The hospital can cancel a limited number of shifts during the
assignment period. The charting system used is MEDITECH. 5 Benefits
