Job Description:
Touchstone Communities is seeking a compassionate and skilled
Memory Care Director to lead our dedicated memory care team. This
role is pivotal in ensuring that our customized care approaches
meet the nuanced needs of seniors with memory impairments,
promoting not only their health but also their dignity and quality
of life. Based in Texas, the Memory Care Director will oversee all
aspects of operation within the memory care unit, including patient
care, staff management, program development, compliance, and family
support. This role requires a deep understanding of
dementia-related conditions and an unwavering commitment to
delivering empathetic, effective care. Develop and implement
innovative care programs tailored to the needs of residents with
memory impairments. Manage, train, and recruit skilled memory care
staff, ensuring they are prepared to deliver high-quality care.
Maintain compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations
and standards. Act as a liaison between residents, families, and
staff to ensure communication is clear and effective. Monitor and
manage the memory care budget, ensuring resources are used
efficiently. Stay current on research and developments in dementia
care to continually enhance service quality. Provide support and
counseling to residents and their families, helping them navigate
the challenges associated with memory care. Strong leadership and
people management skills Deep understanding of dementia and memory
care practices Proficient in regulatory compliance and healthcare
management Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability
