Job Description:

As a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) at Encompass Health, you will be integral to our mission of providing the highest quality of post-acute care in our inpatient rehabilitation hospitals. You will work closely under the direction of our physical therapists to implement treatment plans that aid in the recovery and rehabilitation of our patients. This position requires a dynamic individual who is passionate about patient-centered care and thrives in a collaborative team environment. You will engage directly with patients, providing physical therapy services that improve mobility, relieve pain, and prevent or limit permanent physical disabilities. Assist physical therapists in the implementation of patient treatment plans. Document patient’s response to treatment and communicate their progress with the physical therapist. Use various techniques and equipment to support patient mobility and physical therapy exercises. Educate patients and their families about treatment plans and ongoing home exercises. Maintain patient confidence and protect hospital operations by keeping information confidential. Comply with federal, state, and local legal and professional requirements. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Proficiency in using physical therapy software and equipment. Ability to work well within a multidisciplinary team. Knowledge of relevant health and safety guidelines. Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance 401k Current state license/certification as a Physical Therapist Assistant. CPR certification.
