SMART is actively recruiting for a locum emergency medicine physician to provide coverage for a client of ours in College Station, TX. Coverage is needed as soon as credentialed and ongoing during permanent recruitment.Qualifications:- Active TX license preferred but will consider those with IMLC- BC/BE Emergency Medicine- EM eligible:Current ATLS, ACLS and PALS are required- EM Boarded:ACLS and PALS required to be current, ATLS can be expired but will need a copy of the card.- Looking for candidates with at least 3-4 shifts of availability per month.Job Summary:- Shift times: 7a-7p; 7p-7a- APC Shift Times: 11a-9p- Annual Volume: 23,000- Avg. 16% admit rate- ED runs codes- Back up specialties:FM, IM, General Surgery, Urology, Cardiology, ENT, ID, Neurology and GI consults- Level IV trauma center- EMR: PICISBenefits of Working with SMART:- Competitive hourly rates- SMART covers malpractice insurance- Paid travel and accommodationsPlease contact Angela Cheek at to learn more about this opportunity, or to hear about other openings that we may have available.Know someone who would be a good fit for this position?
