Responsibilities of the open position include HR/employee labor relations duties associated with the Company's Pasadena manufacturing facility. The successful candidate for the position will be involved in the management, development, and implementation of strategic HR programs in partnership with the corporate HR group and the local facility's leadership team. This position will play an important role in key HR initiatives including strategic workforce planning/staffing, labor relations activities associated with a represented work force of -200 employees, organizational capability and training, talent and performance management, compensation, regulatory compliance, employee communications, and other projects and duties as assigned. Chevron Phillips Chemical is looking to fill the position with an experienced, results oriented HR manager, who has the ability and potential to advance within the Company's global HR organization.Required QualificationsMinimum of a Bachelor's degree in human resource management or related field.Minimum of 10 years of professional HR experience.Must be proficient with MS Office (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).Experience with SAP or another ERP system.Effective interpersonal skills are critical; as is the ability to create and maintain positive and productive working relationships.Ability to manage conflicting priorities and multiple responsibilities including supervision and development of the plant's HR and training team.Demonstrated ability to interact and engage with all levels of employees in the organization including senior leaders.A team-oriented focus and strong business acumen.Preferred QualificationsA minimum of five years labor relations experience managing, interpreting, and negotiating contractual agreements in a union environment.Experience with an HR digital transformation project or organization.Understanding of and/or exposure to training in a manufacturing environment.HR experience in petrochemicals or industrial manufacturing.At least 5 years of experience in strategic HR manager/leadership roles.Experience with SuccessFactors.Willingness to consider domestic as well as international opportunities, specifically the Middle East.Chevron Phillips Chemical offers competitive salaries, a comprehensive benefits package and at most locations, alternate work schedules.
