Parts to Service Associate plays a critical role in ensuring the
seamless flow of parts and components between the parts department
and the service team within a powersports dealership or service
center. This position is responsible for accurately processing
parts requests, managing inventory movement, and supporting service
technicians by providing timely access to necessary parts. The
associate acts as a liaison to facilitate communication and
coordination between departments, thereby minimizing service delays
and enhancing customer satisfaction. Attention to detail and
organizational skills are essential to maintain accurate records
and ensure parts availability. Ultimately, this role contributes
directly to the efficiency and success of the service operations by
supporting technicians and helping to deliver high-quality service
experiences to customers. Minimum Qualifications: High school
diploma or equivalent. Basic knowledge of powersports vehicles and
parts terminology. Experience working in a parts or service
environment, preferably in powersports, automotive, or similar
industries. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to use computer systems for inventory management and parts
ordering. Preferred Qualifications: Previous experience
specifically in a powersports dealership or service center.
Familiarity with dealership management software and parts catalog
systems. Basic mechanical knowledge related to powersports
vehicles. Excellent communication skills to effectively liaise
between departments. Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a
fast-paced environment. Responsibilities: Receive and process parts
requests from service technicians promptly and accurately.
Coordinate the delivery and return of parts between the parts
department and service bays. Maintain accurate records of parts
issued, returned, and inventory adjustments related to service
work. Communicate effectively with parts and service teams to
resolve any discrepancies or urgent needs. Assist in organizing and
maintaining the parts storage area to ensure easy access and
inventory control. Support service technicians by ensuring they
have the correct parts and tools needed for repairs and
maintenance. Help track warranty parts and ensure proper
documentation for warranty claims. Participate in inventory counts
and report any shortages or overages to management. Skills: The
required skills enable the associate to accurately process and
track parts requests, ensuring that service technicians receive the
correct components without delay. Organizational skills are used
daily to maintain orderly parts storage and accurate inventory
records, which helps prevent service interruptions. Communication
skills facilitate clear and timely coordination between the parts
and service departments, resolving issues quickly and maintaining
workflow. Preferred skills such as familiarity with dealership
software and mechanical knowledge enhance the associate's ability
to understand parts requirements and navigate inventory systems
efficiently. Together, these skills contribute to a smooth
operational process that supports high-quality service delivery and
customer satisfaction.
