Coordinator, Alumni and Annual Giving - District Office

PRIMARY FUNCTION: The Alumni and Annual Giving Coordinator will play a key role in the expansion of the fundraising program. The Coordinator will work with the executive director leadership to develop strategies and implement tactics that will successfully increase philanthropic support from key constituencies. The Coordinator will steward and cultivate annual giving and oversee all activities of the alumni association, including alumni advisory committee, college employees, chapters, and alumni events.

Essential Job Functions:
Collaborates and assists in the achievement of foundation strategic plan and college goals.
Executes the planning, development and implementation of alumni programs, projects and activities in order to create and maintain relationships and increase volunteer participation and financial support.
Identifies and recruits prospects and outstanding alumni to encourage major donations and college support in collaboration with Executive Director.
Recruits, leads and supports an alumni advisory committee to expand alumni association and annual giving.
Expands alumni base and implements the use of social media to cultivate, inform, and maintain communication with alumni and encourage annual giving.
Maintains alumni donor database, ensuring accuracy, timely and proper donor recognition.
Develops, organizes and implements all aspects of annual fund campaign: solicitations, timing and nature of appeals, copy writing, working with outside vendors and managing production of marketing materials.
Coordinates with internal departments of the College sharing information to institutionalize alumni programs and annual giving campaign.
Maintains professional development and represents foundation by attending meetings and activities.

Marginal Job Functions:
Researches prospects and alumni through database, software and LinkedIn, prepares reports and compiles alumni survey data.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Strong written, verbal, presentation and interpersonal communication skills
Detailed oriented, innovative self-starter
Ability to handle multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
Must be team player
Must possess ability to work with Foundation leadership, volunteer base, college offices and community to promote Foundation mission and vision
Maintain high standard of integrity, professionalism and discretion

Education:
Associate's Degree

Preferred Education:
Bachelor's Degree

Experience:
Proficient use of MS Office Suite (including Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
Proficient use of social media (eg. Facebook, LinkedIn, etc.)
Demonstrated ability to initiate and build relationships
1-3 years fundraising resource development experience

Preferred Experience:
Proficient use of Banner
Proficient use of donor software
Proficient use of Constant Contact
Demonstrated ability to plan and implement all aspects of program activities to meet stated goals

Note: This position has opportunity for limited remote work arrangements with appropriate approvals and in accordance with the policies, procedures, and needs of the College.

Salary Grade: 21

Salary is based on the Board-approved salary schedule for the current fiscal year. See Salary Schedule
