Job Description:
Turner Industries is currently seeking a Packaging Forman for
nested maintenance at a site in Deer Park, TX. This is a long-term
Maintenance position as a working foreman with a normal 4 10's
schedule overseeing the packaging area/ production floor employees
while also working as a packager. You must be able to bend, lift 50
lbs, and have a valid driver's license. There is no per diem or
relocation assistance associated with these positions - the
successful candidates will be local. Job Requirements:
- This is a working supervisory position. You must be able to
bend and lift up to 50 lbs. repetitively at various time throughout
the shift.
- Experienced in operating motorized fork trucks.
- Willingness and ability to always work safely and ensure all
employees follow safety guidelines.
- Always maintain and exhibit a professional attitude as it will
be required to interact with the client
- Proficient with the use of Microsoft Word, Excel, and
Outlook
- Good communication skills, verbal AND written
- Ability to work with minimal direct supervision
- Able to prioritize daily tasks to attain daily, weekly, monthly
production goals.
- Potential for pay increases after completion of a 90- day
probationary period.
- Candidate becomes eligible for insurance coverage on the 1st of
the month after 60 days of employment.
- Must be able to pass a drug screen and criminal background
check, as well as complete safety courses in English General Job
Description:Operates plant packing equipment in a safe and
efficient manner. Operates forklifts to stack and retrieve supplies
and materials. Responsibilities also include documenting and
maintaining inventory and ensuring production area organization and
cleanliness. Moves hand and foot levers to control diesel,
electric, gasoline or steam-powered operating equipment; interprets
hand signals to determine where materials are to be placed; reads
and interprets load charts; may assemble or disassemble equipment
or material on construction projects; may be required to manipulate
equipment on unleveled working surfaces; may perform maintenance
duties such as cleaning, greasing and oiling machines/equipment.
Functional Requirements:Assumes responsibility for assisting in
meeting plant production requirements as set by
client/owner;observant of operating process equipment and
maintenance needs; communicating with supervisionas necessary to
ensure maximum performances as outlined by production goals. Task
included, butnot limited to: digging, spreading, scraping,
packaging, and water blasting. Qualification Standards:--- Written

lifting 30 to 100 pounds from ground level, waistlevel, and/or

crouching/squatting; crawling; seeing with or without correction;
hearingwith or without correction. Mental Involvement:Employee may
be required to do the following: following set procedures and
standards; applyingbasic mathematical skills; planning work and
selecting proper tools; comparing and understandingdifferences in
the size, shape and form of lines, figures and objects; picturing
and evaluating solidobjects from drawing or diagrams using
