Duties: The ride attendant is responsible helping pool patrons at the lazy river and slides at the Strawberry Water Park and assisting with pool rentals, as well as serving the general public. The Ride Attendant position is a seasonal position with the City of Pasadena Parks & Recreation Department. This position is responsible for helping patrons at the lazy river select a tube for riding and picking up tubes to maintain safety. The ride attendant is responsible for relaying the posted rules to patrons at the slides and work with the lifeguard to send patrons down the rides in a safe manner. The ride attendant also helps with rentals of the party rooms by working with the concession and pool manager. The ride attendants serve as a primary customer service representative and will assist the general public. This position requires in-depth communication and customer service skills. Employee will provide knowledgeable and friendly customer service to all customers (internal & external). Greets customers and answers customers inquiries. Picks up tubes and helps patrons pick out tubes. Cleans tubes and stores correctly. Relays rules of the slides and ensure patrons have proper attire and go down slides safely. Assists Manager and Assistant Manager with opening and closing procedures. Handles any questions or concerns customers may have and directs to appropriate staff member, if unable to answer or satisfy customer/patron. Responsible for supplies needed to perform duties at assigned station. Meets the attendance guidelines of the job and adheres to City of Pasadena and Departmental policies. Must work effectively and efficiently, tactfully, and pleasantly with co-workers and the general public. Actively participate in daily tasks, serving as a positive role model for staff and participants at all times. Shall perform all other related duties as assigned.

Required Work Days/Times/Hours: Cashiers may work up to a 40-hour week, depending on the work site. Additional training may be added at the discretion of the Strawberry Office Must have and maintain, without interruption, all necessary licenses, certifications, clearances, and/or job requirements. Works the assigned schedule and complies with the City's timekeeping and attendance policy.
