Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience and/or education, and location. This position is also eligible for an annual bonus.
SUMMARY
The Senior SBA Loan Administrator functions independently as the lead processor/packager gathering the forms and documentation required on all SBA 7a and 504 approved loan requests to ensure compliance with program and bank guidelines. The incumbent serves as the principal point of contact (liaison) from the SBA Group for all internal and external clients in the post approval and pre-funding processes.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Complies with, and stays abreast of, all policies and procedures, federal and state laws applicable to the job.
  • Provides SBA loan documentation support to SBA credit officers and business development officers as well as the business financial center relationship managers in facilitating SBA loan preparation and documentation activities.
  • Initiates and prepares loan documentation request packages to Loan Documentation and Servicing Division and follows up with LDSD to resolve documentation discrepancies or to obtain missing documents.
  • Reviews executed loan documents to verify the documents have been returned signed, dated and initialed properly.
  • Serves as a liaison with lending team, Loan Documentation Servicing Division and legal to ensure all loans are documented to fully protect the Bank's interests in the credit relationship
  • Interacts with clients, legal counsel, title companies, escrow companies, insurance agencies, government agencies and other outside lending institutions to obtain information and/or request documents
  • Processes approved SBA 7(a) loans on the ETRAN system; prepares the SBA Loan Authorization in compliance with the approved credit memo; completes the required SBA 7(a) forms for borrower signature.
  • Obtains insurance documentation for new loans when required. Ensures insurance coverage complies with established Bank standards
  • Ensures that all pertinent loan-related documents are saved in the borrower folder and transferred to NCINO, the SBA Group's main repository for loan files. For SBA 7(a) loans, ensures that all documents required to have wet signatures are properly accounted for.
  • Responsible for expert process and product knowledge including practical application and solutions to problems.
  • Trains and provides guidance and assistance to SBA Loan Support Specialist
  • Utilizes independent judgment under the general supervision of the SBA Assistant Manager.
  • Provides support and back-up to SBA Assistant Manager with file review
  • Provide, present, and promote the Citizens Experience to all external and internal customers.

    EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
    Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year College or technical school; or 10 or more year's related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
    To perform this job successfully, the incumbent must have extensive knowledge of both 7A and 504 loan product offerings. Several years' experience in conventional commercial real estate loan processing/packaging experience will be considered in place of 504 knowledge.
    LANGUAGE SKILLS
    Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
    MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
    Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions and percentages. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry, and interpret bar graphs.
    REASONING ABILITY
    Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
    COMPUTER & SOFTWARE SKILLS
    • Basic computer experience and familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook) CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

      • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
      • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize work load given tight deadlines and conflicting priorities
      • Good analytical skills and ability to pay close attention to detail
      • Knowledge of the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) Standard Operating Procedures
      • Ability to use the T-Soft software
      • Knowledge of general banking operations sufficient to understand the loan function and knowledge of Federal and State loan documentation
      • Ability to work independently and make informed decisions with limited direction from manager

        Salary Range:$87,612.00 To 124,846.00 Annually
        40 Hours Weekly
