Services (NWDLS) is currently searching for a Field Service
Technician . The schedule for this role has various starting times
The lab does operate during holidays, and punctuality, strong work
ethic, and regular attendance is required. About North Water
District Laboratory Services (NWDLS): In business since 1974, North
Water District Laboratory Services, Inc. provides superior service
and quality analysis for inorganic and organic constituents in
tissue, aqueous, and solid matrices for engineering firms,
municipalities, school districts, government agencies, industrial
facilities, and individuals throughout the state of Texas.
Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent. Clean driving
record What the Route Driver is responsible for: Drive a company
provided vehicle (after training is complete, the vehicle may be
driven home) Complete a dedicated route based on a schedule,
visiting sites to collect samples (water and wastewater samples)
Ensure samples are packaged appropriately and delivered to the lab
(lab located in Conroe, TX) by 3:00 P.M. each day Fill out
necessary paperwork pertaining to collection and recordkeeping
requirements Prepare materials and truck for the next day of work A
successful Route Driver at NWDLS will: Possess a TWIC card (or
willingness to obtain within 90 days of employment for routes
requiring it) Possess a Class D Water Operator’s license (or
willingness to obtain one within 6 months of employment) Be
comfortable driving routes throughout the greater Houston area
(including occasional trips to Dallas, Katy, New Braunfels,
Huntsville, Corpus Christi, and other areas of Texas state) Must
have clean driving record and a valid driver’s license Experienced
or comfortable driving a pickup truck Ability to work
independently, manage time efficiently, and provide exemplary
customer service Strong route planning skills and/or experience
utilizing GPS/maps Other position specific requirements: Overtime
and weekend work may occasionally be required, and the possibility
of the schedule shifting to a 4-day, 10 hour per day schedule is
possible. Vision sufficient to read and interpret chemical and
reagent labels, rules, regulations, policies, procedures, laws,
spreadsheets, computer screens, printed items, and street signs and
signals Hearing sufficient to hear conversation levels in person
and via telephone Speech sufficient to make oneself heard and
understood in front of groups, over the telephone, in meetings, and
during training sessions Mobility sufficient to safely move in an
environmental laboratory and wastewater facility environment,
including climbing in and out of company trucks, opening large
gates, and climbing multiple flights of stairs Dexterity sufficient
to safely operate office equipment, specialized tools, and
equipment utilized during field and office work Strength sufficient
to safely lift and carry sample containers, office supplies,
materials, equipment, and other related materials weighing up to 50
lbs. Endurance sufficient to stand, sit, kneel, and bend from the
waist for long periods of time Exposure to odors, fumes, hazardous
chemicals, acids, and wastewater products that require use of
safety and personal protection equipment Work in a lab that tests
water samples (fresh and waste), some of which contain hazardous
substances Indoor and outdoor work in a lab, plant, factory,
warehouse, and/or natural outdoor environment Exposure to various
climates, temperatures, and weather conditions (including excessive
hot and cold environments, rain, snow, ice, excessive heat,
environments that are not climate controlled, and weather hazard

Full-time employees are eligible for benefits that include: The
option to participate in health, dental, and vision plans after 60
days of employment. Accrual of PTO (up to 96 hours per year)
staring after 90 days of employment (pro-rated for the 1st year of
employment). The option to participate in a 401K plan (employer
matching contributions of 100% match for 4% of base salary
contribution and 100% vested immediately). Educational assistance
of up to 8K/year (please request to see additional requirements for
eligibility specifics). Job Type: Full-time Salary: $15.00 - $17.00
per hour Schedule: 10-hour shift 8-hour shift Work Location: One
